Well, it's been a great summer and it is hard to see it creep towards fall, let alone winter. Most of you have
finished your summer leagues and now are trying out for fall teams. I want to wish you luck and hope you have
learned a lot from playing this summer and will enhance that with your fall play.
My spring and summer has been a real dream with trips all over the country to see all the college guys play
and even a 5 day trip to Alaska to take in some of the FIU players I have met including Garrett Wittles( 56 game
hitting streak record) and Jorge Marban. It happens they were playing the Fairbanks Goldpanners with Jake
Stewart on board. Great weather, but not enough darkness for this early to bed guy. Excellent baseball, too.
Hopefully, I will be able to see more of you guys play this fall and lessons will be slack until later.
Don't forget about winter workouts and Turtle's Thanksgiving Hitting Camp. FIU made the playoffs this year
and, of course, his player, Garrett Wittles, almost broke the all time consecutive game hitting streak with 56
games. Register early it will be a great camp.
